Craig Myers who, in addition to leading Barika on the N'Goni, is also a current member of the Mike Gordon Band, and one of the founding members of Rubblebucket. He has performed alongside many artists and bands including Midnight, Toubab Krew, Dieneda Seck, and John Brown's Body. He resides in Burlington, Vermont when he is not traveling the globe.
CALEB BRONZ, a drummer based in Burlington, Vermont, plays and records with a wide variety of groups and artists including Barika, Mighty Sam McClain, Prydein, Ray Vega, Johnny A, and others in addition to many freelance performances and recording sessions. He’s been a part of groups that play reggae, hip-hop, big-band and small-combo jazz, rock, pop, drum&bass, latin-jazz, bluegrass, free-jazz and more, from fully arranged to completely improvisational. Caleb’s playing can be heard on many recordings such as Phish-bassist Mike Gordon’s CD, “Moss” and the latest CD from Jim McCarty, legendary guitarist for Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, “Jim McCarty and Friends”. He also appears on Barika’s “Remember” as well as "Rise", Gordon Stone’s “Nightshade” and Grammy nominee and Handy Blues Award winner Mighty Sam McClain’s “Betcha Didn’t Know”.
On several international tours with Mighty Sam, Caleb has performed in many countries in Europe and Asia, including extensive tours of Russia and Turkey. In 2011, Caleb performed on tour with Iranian singer Mahsa Vahdat. In 2009 Caleb travelled with the Christopher Peterman Sextet to Russia to be featured at the Yaroslavl Jazz Festival and in 2006 The Gordon Stone Band was featured in the Hat Yai Midnight Songkren and World Musiq Festival in Thailand. Domestically, Caleb has toured with Johnny A, Mighty Sam McClain, Smokin’ Grass and many others.
Caleb is currently teaching privately and performing regionally with a wide variety of groups.
Giovanni Rovetto, a.k.a jbobfunky. Bassist, Producer, Front-End Developer & Developing Human Being. Due to his diverse style in world and afro-cuban bass, Giovanni has performed with many great artists and projects that include Movement of the People, Afinque, Dave Grippo Band, Andric Severence X-Tet, The Ray Vega Latin Jazz Ensemble, Barika, Grupo Sabor, Jennifer Hartswick Band, Peter Erskine, Alex Acuna, Bala Koyate, Afri-VT, Nick Cassarino Trio and many more.
Giovanni currently teaches private lessons, performs in many crews in the area and works as a Front-End Web Developer in the central vermont area.
Colin Lenox is a guitarist and multi-instrumentalist who has been performing and playing music all his life. Since moving to VT in 2006 he has been a part of various bands including Bearquarium, Kat Wright and The Indomitable Soul Band, and Dead Set.
Although having experience with a wide array of musical genres, Colin’s main focus is rock, blues, and indie music. He is also an avid songwriter.
Trumpeter Christopher Hawthorn brings a rich pallet of colors to the stage through the use of guitar effect pedals and keyboards; from soaring brass tones to swimming Moog synthesizer leads. Born in Philadelphia, he’s spent the last five years in Burlington, Vermont collaborating with various artists and ensembles. By day Christopher runs Studio 150 as resident producer/engineer, imparting his touch to projects that range from electronic pop production to cinematic orchestral arranging.
Matt Davide is a multi-instrumentalist, educator and composer in Chittenden County, VT. He has performed on saxophone and bass with Barika, Dr. Ruckus, Grundlefunk, the Collin Craig Continuum, A House On Fire and many more. Matt received a B.S. in Music Education from the University of Vermont in 2012 and currently teaches at Vermont Commons School in South Burlington, as well as private lessons to students of all ages/abilities on a range of instruments. Matt also coaches Cross Country and Track & Field at Essex Middle School.
